Author Laura King Edwards and I will present a book talk to the United Methodist Women at Providence United Methodist Church. Her memoir, Run to the Light, and my Young Adult verse novel, Behind These Hands, both deal with the devastating circumstances surrounding Batten disease, a rare, neurodegenerative disease that strikes children between the ages of five and ten.
