Today I am honored to be featured on William B. Eerdmans’ official blog site, EerdWord. Rachel Bomberger, EerdWord editor, invited me to submit a post (following on the heels of N. T. Wright no less) that might relate the subject of my novel, CRAZY, with Robin Williams’ death. I found being in the cyber-presence of Wright and commenting on such a sad subject as Williams’ suicide to be both daunting and humbling.
I hope you will follow me to EERDWORD today and feel free to make comments there.
Wonderful job, Linda. Thoughtful, kind and hopeful. I can hardly wait for your book to come out. I, too, have spent most of my life dealing with a loved one with mental illness. It can destroy me, or make me strong and compassionate. I choose the second option day after day.
Thanks for tackling this topic.
Jean
Jean, thank you so much for this thoughtful and honest comment. I will love to share notes with you sometime, but boy do I agree. We do have a choice, and with God’s help, we can choose to not let it destroy us. I do hope my book will help others make that choice, too.
